The sea
The lift stops at a wooden deck thirty-eight metres below the road. There are six loungers, a shower and a steel ladder into deep water.
Swimming
The water is four metres deep at the ladder and clear to the bottom. From late May it is warm enough to stay in; by September it is warmer than the pool.
On days when the north wind blows the deck is closed, and the lift will tell you so before you go down.
Good to know
Lunch comes down in the lift if you ask before noon.
The boat for Katergo beach leaves from here at 10.00.
There is no lifeguard.
